What we say...
If you’re a regular TG reader, you’ll know about our love for previous Cobra fairway woods. The Speed LD beast beat off some pretty stiff competition from the likes of Ping and Cleveland in last year’s 3-wood test so an improvement on that model was going to be hard to achieve. But the Cobra S1-9 fairway wood gives it a pretty good go!
Like the new driver, the cobra s9-1 fairway wood features the “Hotter 9 Point Face Technology” which maximises ball speeds and distances across all of the clubface, while the Dual Rhombus insert technology helps to create a massive sweetspot making the club easy to hit as well as impressively powerful.
There is also a Pro version as well, which to the normal hacker will look incredibly small and difficult to use, but in the hands of the better player will really get the job done, especially if shot-shaping is one thing you’re keen to master.
