What we say...
Technology
The X2 Hot and X2 Hot Pro fairway woods feature a faster face and improved internal weighting to make them seven yards longer, on average, than X Hot fairway woods. Lighter face cup gives faster ball speeds across entire face.
Tested
As reviewed in our Fairway Woods Test 2014: Pro version’s very compact head has a relatively deep face; good for low driving shots. Good option off the tee. Considerably smaller than standard version. Prefer the size of the compact Pro version, though I’d like a little more alignment assistance. This club excelled from the deck and the flight off the tee was strong, too. Those who prefer more meat behind the ball won’t lose versatility. Not impressed with the matt grey finish and it didn’t feel as powerful as others. Had to swing faster to find the distance. To its credit, it found it.
Details: RRP £189. Comes in 15°, 17°, 19°, 21°, 23° and 25°. Pro version comes in 13.5°, 15°, 17° and 19°.
