Technology
The RIP SPEED 2 Fairway has been designed to harness the same performance characteristics as the RIP SPEED 2 Driver.
Lower Lofts and Traditional Head Shapes are aimed at the experienced player looking to “Dial In” their ball flight characteristics. Extra Sole Weighting creates a deep centre of gravity guaranteeing powerful shots from any lie. An all-new “Tuning Cartridge” positioned in the sole also improves acoustics.
With two loft options, square face angles and a clean simple inspiring look at address, confident golfers can expect to maximize both control and their shot making potential.
Aldila’s new ATX TOUR BLUE Fairway shaft launches shots on a powerful penetrating Low-Mid Trajectory. New grades of graphite fibers and resins are combined in this “Tour-Spec” shaft to increase feel, stability and overall performance.
Tested
As reviewed in our Fairway Woods Test 2014: Triangular shape has a touch of onset to it which some better players won’t like. 75g is a decent weight of shaft in a fairway wood, and it performed nicely. Thin and light grip. The face set forward from the shaft appears odd initially, but it was pleasant to hit. Face shape and size means it was adept from tee and fairway. Nice sound, unusual shape, but classy matt finish. Easy to strike cleanly from different lies.
