What we say...

Tech:

Adams reckon the Blue has three key technologies that can transform your game. A velocity slot improves face flex and ball speed. A low back CG increases spin and speed, while slimmer than usual shafts mean more kick at impact to allow you to launch shots into the air more aggressively.

Our verdict:

Have you noticed how fairway woods can be difficult to launch off the deck nowadays? We’ve been told it’s partly down to how the modern golf ball spins less, which makes it more difficult to flight shots off the short grass. Well Adams Blue range with all its easy launch tech is out to change all that, and it we’ve got to say it delivers. We particularly liked the Slim-Tech shafts which allow you to attack the ball aggressively, they delivered a club speed that was comfortably in the top five of all fairways tested. Yes the head generates quite a bit of spin to get shots up and flying so it won’t win any distance tests but it is incredibly easy to use.

Bottom line:

For out-and-out game improvement the Blue is first class. If your primary need is maximum help flighting shots from the fairway the Blue certainly won’t let you down. If you’re after distance too, there’s plenty of alternatives on the market.
