What we say...

This club really surprised Leon and pro Chris because the onset – where the face is positioned slightly ahead of the shaft – put them off initially. But both were impressed by the power from the face and Leon commented on the nice feel. Chris felt the ball flight was too high for him, probably because of the 10.5˚ loft, but admitted it would be ideal for those who struggle for height and distance off the tee. This was also one of John’s straightest clubs, which meant he instantly liked it, and he also felt it was very powerful with a soft feel. This one made a good impression on our team, despite the initial misgivings about the looks.

The Wilson Staff Shockwave Driver was new for 2010. It is one of the lightest drivers on the market. This allows it to generate incredible clubhead speed.

The driver also features Wilson’s proprietary face thickness with an expanded sweetspot, a tungsten screw to move weight back to promote a higher ball flight and stability and an AXIVCore Super-Lite shaft.

And all at a pretty amazing price! The Wilson Shockwave driver is a big dog that needs taking for a walk!

The Wilson Staff Shockwave Driver comes in two different lofts: 10.5°, 12°

Titanium head, graphite shaft, gents, LH, RH
