What we say...
The Burner is the best-selling golf driver family in TaylorMade’s history but this year’s SuperFast model has stepped away from the norm in a bid to become even longer. Our testers were a bit taken aback by the radical new head shape and that initially put them off – hence the low rating for looks. However, in terms of performance it was Leon’s second longest on test and among the longest overall so the changes have had some effect. Pro Chris said it was pretty forgiving as well, which was a good thing considering the longer shaft – although John and Leon both felt it lacked a little feel when compared to TaylorMade’s R9 range.

The TaylorMade Burner Superfast Driver has been made lighter, faster, more aerodynamic and longer than before!
The driver uses SuperFast technology (longer/lighter/more power), a 460cc clubhead, Inverted Cone technology and a 46.5in Matrix HD shaft.
The aim of the TaylorMade Superfast Burner driver is to increase swingspeed - and therefore distance off the tee - without sacrificing forgiveness.
