What we say...
The Drivers plasma-welded 6-4 titanium clubface plate ensures maximum power by eliminating the heavier weld bead left by traditional welding. This enlarges the sweet spot on the face, allowing for a more elastic transfer of energy on off-centre strikes. Three-weight technology (3WT) gives the players the ability to customise ball flight. Comes standard with twin 2-gram weights in the heal and toe areas, with a single, heavier 6-gram middle rear port for neutral flight. The Viper Tour fairway woods share the powerful design and winning looks of the matching driver with a thin Capenter Custom 455 steel face. 3WT makes shaping long shots easy from a variety of lies. Both come as standard with a Snake Eyes SST PUREd Aldila NV Shaft Lofts: 9o,10o,11o & 12.5HL Fairway: No 3 & 5.
2009, Updated Model – Review
Featuring three adjustable weights and a super-slick black finish this was one of the pre-test favourites. Three testers gave it four or better in the looks stakes, while two of them thought the feel of the club was a four too. In terms of dispersion too, we gave it four-and-a-half. But what let it down a bit was distance off the tee – it averaged 235 yards, which was well down the list.

2010, Updated Model – Review
This was Adam’s favourite club on test, even though he wasn’t massively taken with its appearance. He loved the feel and forgiveness, which was also backed up by David and Chris – indicating this is a players club with a bit of leeway. However, Joel, David and Chris all felt there were better options if you are looking to shape the ball and control the flight a but more. The sleek, unfussy looks also won praise from pro Chris, who said there was nothing there to put him off.
