Comments: Lots of us are afflicted with something we like to call “a gentle fade” – when it is just a “gentle fade”, it’s controllable, but when it turns into a “card wrecking slice”, then there’s trouble! The new K15 has been engineered with 10% of the head mass in the heel, making it considerably easier to square the head at impact, thus eliminating the dreaded slice. Regardless of handicap, if you do struggle at times to contain a slice, this is arguably the best driver out there and what’s even more brilliant about it is that it doesn’t look horrendous, unlike many of the anti-slice predecessors.
Pro Chris felt he wouldn’t use it because he thought it did look very toed in, but the K15 hasn’t been designed to help pros. He went onto say that it was a great product for a game-improver, and he also awarded it full marks in the feel and sound categories. Darren felt it was confidence-boosting at address while Darren said he would have no problem putting it in the bag.
Jon commented on the forgiving nature of the K15 and likened it in terms of forgiveness to the impressive G15. As you’d expect from PING, another top quality product rolls off the conveyor belt of brilliance.

Ping have excelled themselves in recent years when it comes to woods, with the G series winning admirers all over the world. The latest product to roll off the production line in Phoenix is the fabulous K15 driver, designed to negate the effects of a slice which affects the majority of us weekend hackers up and down the country.
Ping engineers created Straight Flight Technology which places approximately 10 per cent of the entire mass of the head in the heel which helps to square the clubface up at impact. They’ve been able to thin the crown material in order to reposition the weight in the heel, but it’s not just about controlling the slice with this sensational piece of kit. The large profile 460cc head features a clubface that is longer from heel to toe, which means the MOI is greater across a wider area of the face – this translates to more distance even when you don’t get the ball out of the middle. The centre of gravity is also positioned low and deep in the head which means the K15 offers a powerful, high ball flight.
