What we say...

Custom-fitting gurus Orka may not be one of the big names when it comes to drivers, but if you like a big dog with a difference the Orka PS40 Driver could be for you. The Orka PS40 features a rubberised crown and a duller, black finish. Unfortunately, our testers weren’t taken with the look of the club but good performance stats helped to bring its overall rating up. Definitely one to try before you buy

2010 – Updated Model Review

This was the most playable driver on test according to Chris, who rated it five out of five for workability as well as praising the high level of feel. He didn’t find it as forgiving as others and although he loved the head shape, he disliked the dull PVD finish, which turned out to be a big talking point among the panel. David was another fan of this driver, rating it highly across the board – particularly in feel and workability, while the only things that put Adam off was the looks.

The Orka PS40 driver is a quality piece of kit. It comes with a 460cc head which is designed to launch the golf ball high, with minimum spin. It looks clean and mean and features a two-piece plasma weld clubhead. The Orka PS40 driver also has a three-piece configurable weight system. That means the golfer can adjust the driver to a draw, fade or neutral setting. A tool is provided with the Orka PS40 driver and it's quick and easy to make the adjustments. There's a wide range of golf shafts to choose from.
