What we say...
Nike likes pushing boundaries, and that’s exactly what it is doing with the SasQuatch Sumo2.
We’ve played several rounds with one, and even when we’ve not hit the ball well, we have still found most fairways, which wouldn’t be the case with a normal driver.
But when someone shouts from an adjoining fairway: “Are your chopping wood with that thing?” it does make you wonder about the club in your hands. The head looks massive and it sounds weird, but it works.
The Nike SasQuatch Sumo2 Driver has a revolutionary new square design that resists twisting when balls are hit off-centre, resulting in straighter drives.

This club is the straightest driver I have hit, it is ressonably long, but the straightness is the key here. It seems to resist, to personify it, slices. Personally I love the square look at address and the club sits perfectly on the ground. I used to grip with an overlapping method, but realised that I might be able to simple use the baseball grip as it was so easy to hit. It worked. I swing through and the ball goes dead straight. Not every one wants to hit the ball dead straight, but I do! It sound less offensive that the early model which I used at barnbougle dunes, you want to be on the fairway there. A must club if you are inconsistent off the tee. I will use no more drivers.

I hit this driver straighter than any driver I have ever hit, but the ball just seems to go no where off this frying pan of a head. I am not sure why, but it is causing me issues in areas I never had them before. Failing to carry a hazard that requires a 220 carry off the tee. Club head speed was still at 106 end of last season when tested, stiff shaft, majestic trajectory in the shots, but yet the distance just isnt there.

Tin being the sound it makes at impact! This club looks and feels great, if not the shaft is a little softer than others. The high MOI does work so the ability to hit drives straighter is increased. However, I found the sweetspot a little on the small side and myself being a slightly inconsistant off the tee (in terms of ball striking) found it difficult to be consistant with it and the whole point of the club is to be forgiving and it just isn't. So this club is only good for people who hit the center of the clubface, but then it's pointless and you might as well have bought a cheaper club that might go further. So for me, Nike didn't quite make a wonder forgiving club as promised and I'm not too sure what all the hype about it was about.

I had before a Hippo Hex. This was fine, but i just couldn't hit it cinsistently straight. I decided (with the prices of these falling dramatically) to get one of these. So far, i have been consistently hitting it straight! It's as if i am hitting this every time like a good shot with the Hippo. I don't mind the sound either, as long as it goes straight and is consistent. I can really tell the difference in quality over the Hippo!

Like a few other golfers I got sucked into the new craze of square drivers and decided to upgrade to the SUMO2. My advice is if you consistently hit your driver out of the middle then this will do nothing for you and there are drivers out there that are cheaper and go much further and just as straight off the middle of the clubface. This driver is for people who hit a few drives off the toe or the heel of the club. It won't fix a slice or a hook it simply helps to improve off centre shots. I kept mine for a few months but traded it in for the Callaway FT-5 which goes much further and sounds miles better.

A nice club to hit, feels good and does go straight... Just could not get over the noise.

Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes! Big,loud, and straight. Only been playing for 10 months(off 24). I could only hit a driver 175+ carry distance, with a nasty slice. Now with my Nike sumo2 Square, 210+ carry distance straight onto the fairway! What makes this great is,everytime you hit the ball, everyone turns and watches,as your cracking drive lands smack bang in the middle of the fairway. Love the sound, love the fairways, love the the sumo2 square!

if you want straght drives with loads of carry then this is the one for you.yes it turns heads on the tee with its sound, and yes you get the odd comment like " it sounds like your hitting the ball with a beer can " in my case, you can reply with 280+ yards straight down the middle and a little ribbing to your playing partners for being that much further behind you !!!!!

I have only been playing for around 12 months and have never been a big hitter only getting around 170yard and not that straght, but with the Sumo 2 i got 260yrd and straght and every shot was straght and over 200yrds and the sound is great, i have gained 10 shots over one round with this club, if you want to improve your game YOU MUST BUY this club
