What we say...
Lynx’s groundbreaking pressurised ‘hot gas’ injection innovation (Hot 1 Technology) combines with new Effective Energy Transfer Technology (EET) in the all-new Boom Boom 3 driver for 2014.
Promising outstanding distance and forgiveness, the 460cc BiTi Titanium head has a choice of red or green infills with a super-modern matt black ‘supercar’ PVD finish.
Lynx’s previous Boom Boom 2 driver delivered industry-leading distances when tested by Robogolf and the Boom Boom 3 has been improved and enhanced while still benefitting from Hot 1 Technology.
Pressure inside the clubhead has been increased, while delicate adjustments to the valve used to insert the gases have also taken place.
The EET design behind the clubface means kinetic energy at impact between the club and ball is managed more efficiently and causes the ball to be less affected by drag – even on off-centre hits – delivering optimum ball speeds.
Custom fit with Aldila RIP’d NV shafts in Regular, Stiff or X-stiff flexes and available in 7.5°, 9°, 10.5° and 12.5° lofts.

The SLDR to me feels far superior and well priced and nicer people to deal with at TM. Golfers can expect 1-to-2 mph faster ball speeds with the SLDR driver compared to TaylorMade’s R1, as well as about 300 rpms less spin.

After the first few holes of using the driver , I was getting amazing results. I tend to hit the ball with a lot of height , but even after using the 9 degree stiff shaft I was able to play very straight with great distance! Well worth it! Looks great in the bag and so good on the course!
