What we say...
Dunlop has come late to the adjustability party with its updated version of the DP1 line up for 2014.
The driver employs a mechanism called ‘Adaptive Drive’, which lets you select one of five face angle settings on the driver and 3-wood to suit your shape. The 460cc titanium head also houses interchangeable 10g and 3g weights, letting you alter the draw or fade bias. Positioning more mass towards the toe will promote a fade; having the heavier weight in the heel will promote a draw. Combined, there are 10 settings.
The DP1 also cuts drag thanks to a sole design called ‘V-GEN’ (Vortex Generating Technology), inspired by aviation research, which accelerates airflow over the head.
A carbon composite crown allows mass to be repositioned to the sole, where it creates a lower, deeper CG for high launch and low spin.
