Better Players Driver Test Nov 2012 – Key comments

JR: This went very high for me but it carried well. Not sure about the cosmetics, but good results.
DW: I preferred this to the ZL, as it felt weightier and I could feel where the clubhead was during the swing. Very good trajectory off the face, and impressive accuracy, too.
CS: I liked the shaft in the AMP, and I preferred this to the ZL because of the more solid feel.
MR: This sounded fantastic off the face, and was very consistent. I found this easier to work left-to-right, too.

Test

Possibly the biggest disappointment on test. The colour scheme is always going to polarise opinion but among our team there were more positive than negative comments about the silver, black and orange with the shape also winning signifi can’t praise. However it was in the performance stats where the AMP failed to deliver. Our team said it felt good and offered decent forgiveness but the stats didn’t back that up. Pro James said it was too light and generated too much spin for him but that with a good custom fit there was no reason why this wouldn’t perform better.
