Callaway Diablo Edge Driver Review

The Callaway Diablo Edge Driver won a silver award in the Today’s Golfer 2010 drivers test in issue 269.

David and Leon were both big fans of the new Diablo Edge, especially the extremely powerful feel off the face. In fact the only area David could find to mark it down was the looks, where the slightly-pointed rear cost it half a mark. It was equally impressive in terms of performance with near-perfect results for Leon and David. Leon said it was a “forgiving beast” although he did mark it down considerably for looks because of the head shape and graphics on the sole. Pro Chris was equally impressed, saying he could see and feel a massive difference from the previous Diablo while also carrying it out to the 300- yard mark! He did admit that as a better player the looks put him off a bit but there is a Tour version for players who like a smaller head and a Tour profile. In short, our panel have predicted a successful year for the Diablo Edge!

A chemical reduction process selectively removes unwanted material from the face cup for precision thickness control, resulting in our most consistently high ball speeds ever.

With reduced drag in the downswing for higher impact speeds by using an Aerodynamic Body Design that refines and optimizes all edge transitions. This reduces drag up to 8% versus other 460cc driver heads.

Diablo Edge Drivers feature two unique shapes, but all the same technology.
