What we say...
What we like
It looks particularly sporty and stylish, especially with the white frame and matching bag. But you wouldn’t buy a trolley on looks alone. The frame, hinges, handle and speed dial all felt really robust and the batteries (we tested both the 18-hole lead acid and the lithium) delivered more than enough power to handle the ups and downs of the course, even in wet conditions.
We also liked how simple the Freeway Digital was to use, while the distance setting function is always a neat touch. The folding mechanism also locks into place when the trolley is folded, so it is easy to lift and transport.
What we don’t like
Overall we were impressed with the Freeway Digital but there were a couple of little gripes. The speed dial is only on one side of the handle so cannot be operated with the left hand, which was frustrating when drinking a bottle of juice – we get in a big mess if we try to drink with the left hand… And even with the lighter, thinner lithium battery in place you couldn’t fold the trolley down without removing the battery.

TG Verdict
The original Freeway is PowaKaddy’s most successful trolley of all time and the new Digital version definitely takes it up a notch. We hope the long-term test will show that it has the same rugged reliability as the original.

The original Freeway was one of the best-loved trolleys on the market, and the new version builds on that reputation.
One of the most-notable features is the new soft-touch ambidextrous digital handle which has been fitted with a responsibe 9-speed control roller as well as a fully-integrated LED screen.
The frame of the Freeway Digital has been taken from the PowaKaddy Sport, and the accompanying sporty wheels help to give the new model a contemporary look.
INFORMATION: The Freeway Digital can also be purchased with a 36-hole lead acid battery for £379.99, or a lithium battery for £529.99

I recently purchased the lithium option of the Freeway Digital Trolley, in use it is lightweight, easy to use and the battery feels as fresh at the end of a round as at the start and that's on a very hilly course. Overall a high quality and well priced product.
