What we say...
Prestige is a Swedish brand, making golf clothing for a climate cooler than the UK’s, so this suit is understandably heavier than most of the others.
We loved the stretchy fabric, which was similar to that used in the Cross waterproof suit. It beads water off the surface really nicely and doesn’t saturate easily. As the waterproof jacket’s slightly heavier and stiffer, we expected a little more resistance during the swing.
In practice, there was little difference to its competitors. It was a little disappointing that the waterproof jacket didn’t have removable sleeves, like most modern jackets, and it was more of a struggle to fold down.
But we reckon the Prestige XDC is a good golf waterproof that is practical and functional, with a pricetag that’s not going to break the bank, even if it wouldn’t be our first choice.
Stylish, lightweight suit with fully taped seams. Storm collar and flaps, knee contouring for comfort.
