What we say...
The last time Galvin Green made a bad waterproof suit, Richard III was on the throne and “credit crunch” was some sort of medieval torture. They continually produce the goods and the Arrow jacket – with accompanying August trousers – was comfortably our favourite suit.
It was right up there in terms of looks and mid-swing quitness as well as being incredibly comfortable. It felt a little thicker than some of the other suits on test, but that didn’t restrict movement which was superb.
In terms of technology, the Arrow jacket features a ‘laminated membrane’ as well as the legendary Gore-Tex, which kept our tester dry under both bouts of water drenching. If we’re honest, lots of the suits had a great jacket bu tthey seemed to be let down a little in the trousers department… but not the Galvin, and this ultimately helped elevate it to the higher echelons of our test.
The August trousers jut didn’t leak at all. They were comfortable, and although we weren’t specifically testing this, we noticed they were very easy to get on and off; another great feature.
Galvin Green Arrow waterproof suit features include: Water-repellent zips, Insula lining to aid comfort, chest and sleeve pocket, both fitted with waterproof zips.
