What we say...
Has the new Sta-Dry Stretch System that offers total waterproof protection, flexible freedom in the swing and a great new design.
FootJoy’s Red Label collection incorporates a continental cut in its bid to attract a younger, more fashion-conscious, audience. Indeed, the golf trousers have the sort of detailing, pocket design and buttons you might expect to find on a pair of Levi’s.
We liked the styling, although it has to be said that the pockets were harder to get hands into in a hurry, and the short -zipped trouser legs could cause a problem when wearing golf spikes. We particularly liked the double cuff design, which would stop wind and rain blowing up a sleeve even in freak conditions.
The Red Label collection was, however, a little disappointing to find that a company as big as FootJoy hasn’t included removable sleeves, and that the golf suit couldn’t be made a fraction lighter. The golf jacket’s plain styling does mean it’s useful away from the golf course, however. A decent set of waterproofs backed up with a two-year guarantee.
