What we say...
This may use the same Gore-Tex PacLite material as our Gold award-winning suit, but the two have a completely different feel.
We admire Callaway for going the whole hog and using some of the best materials available to make its waterproofs, but this suit doesn’t quite match up to the excellent Nike. The fabric is stiffer and crunchy to wear, as well as being decidedly heavier, and we struggled to fit the suit into the ball pocket of our bag. On the other hand there are some nifty little touches, such as the matching hood, the holders that stop the drawstring disappearing inside the jacket and the brilliant cuffs, which worked better and were more comfortable than any others in this test.
White may not be the best choice for waterproofs, especially if your course is prone to getting muddy in winter, but if you have to have Callaway to match your set of clubs, you won’t be disappointed with this choice.
