You may not be all that aware of Abacus gear, but hopefully this review will help you appreciated the undoubted quality the Swedish manufacturers have. Let's just put looks aside for a minute; the jacket was awarded maximum points in the other three categories. And here's something else; the suit was so damn dry after the two-shower burst, we decided to play Devil's Advocate and whack the shower up to full power for a minute. Even after that, the Abacus offering was watertight.

Okay, back to the looks; it's not the best we tested, but if you're after something that is plain and simple, you could do a lot worse.

And the dryness of the tester post-showers certainly made up for any negatives in the looks rating in our opinion. And while meshing on some of the other suits added to the restriction, the lining in the Abacus didn't. It simply made us feel a bit warmer, without compromising on breathability.

This is a stunning suit from a quality manufacturer, and at just over £200 for the whole outfit, this has to be seriously considered.

One final piece of information to be taken into account is the drying time. Despite being one of the heavier suits on test, the Abacus dried in just over five minutes, so when you head out for that second 18 after lunch your waterproof is going to be in tip-top shape again.
