Bridgestone are the No.1 ball fitter in golf and are responsible for some of the best golf balls on the market for golfers of all abilities. Having first produced golf balls in 1935, Bridgestone have constantly strived (and achieved) to manufacture high-quality golf balls loved by Tour players and amateur golfers.

Soon they’re going to have to make drastic changes to how they manufacture golf balls following the news of the golf ball rollback being approved. If you don’t want to lose out on any distance then it’s worth stocking up on golf balls before the rollback starts impacting the golf balls sold on the shelves.

The Georgia-based golf giants are responsible for some of the best premium golf balls played by the likes of Jason Day, Fred Couples, and none other than 15-time major champion Tiger Woods. As well as making golf balls for some of the world’s greatest players, Bridgestone manufactures golf balls for players at the opposite end of the ability ladder. They are some of the best golf balls for beginners and high-handicap golfers.

Bridgestone's Tour B X golf balls are aimed at golfers who play to a high standard and have a fast swing speed. This ball is Bridgestone's most represented in men's professional golf, used most notably by nine-time PGA Tour winner Matt Kuchar and former World No.1 Jason Day. This ball has been manufactured to travel extremely far in the long game by reducing the spin generated off the tee.

While the Tour B X is predominantly geared towards maximizing distance, it performs incredibly well around the greens, offering high spin and control. Being one of the best premium golf balls you wouldn't be disappointed playing with these golf balls - unless you require golf balls for a slower swing speed.

Perhaps the greatest golfer of all time elects to play with Bridgestone's Tour B XS golf balls. The 15-time major champion was involved in the design process which makes these golf balls very popular among amateurs and professionals. If you haven't already worked it out (very unlikely) the golfer I'm referring to is none other than Tiger Woods.

Built for golfers who want to play with a premium golf ball but don't have super quick swing speeds, Bridgetstone's Tour B RX golf balls are ideal for golfers wanting to maximize distance without compromising on feel and short game performance. While these balls do travel far off the tee, if you have a really fast swing speed the Tour B RX will increase in spin, resulting in a loss of long game distance.

As one of Bridgestone's premium golf ball offerings, this is a ball found in the bags of professional golfers. Having a 79 compression rating, these golf balls are a brilliant option for most amateur-level golfers who prefer premium golf balls but don't have the quickest swing speed.

With only a 65 compression rating, it's hard to believe that the Tour B RXS golf balls are a premium golf ball, however, once you use this golf ball around the greens you quickly realize this is definitely a premium golf ball. Not only is the Tour B RXS incredible greenside, it's extremely soft and responsive.

Bridgestone's Tour B RXS golf balls are in the bags of 1992 Masters Champion Fred Couples and Emilia Migliaciio who was part of Wake Forest's 2023 NCAA women's national golf championship team. As a low-compression premium golf ball, most golfers would enjoy playing with the Tour B RXS.

Bridgestone are notorious for manufacturing quality golf balls at a fair price, and their e6 golf balls are a brilliant example of this. As a fantastic golf ball from tee to green and being available for £/$25 this is one of the best cheap golf balls on the market. The feel and performance of the e6 make it hard to believe they are a two-piece surlyn cover golf ball and not three-piece urethane.

With a 50 compression rating, the only negative of these golf balls is that if you have a quick swing speed your dispersion will increase and it could hinder your scores. Iterations of the e6 have been manufactured since 2005, and Bridgestone seem to have found the winning formula for their 2023 version of this incredibly popular golf ball - definitely one for beginners and high-handicap golfers to try.

Potentially every golfer at some point in their golfing career has had an issue with keeping the ball in play off the tee. So, if you can use a golf ball that's designed to fly straighter surely you would game it? That ball is the Bridgestone e12 Contact, it has been designed to have a straight ball flight thanks to the combination of the Flexativ cover technology and Contact force dimples - in turn, keeping the ball in play should result in lower scores.

Being a three-piece golf ball, the e12 Contact is incredibly soft and responsive. Long game performance is very strong with this ball, but around the greens is where this ball struggles to keep up with Bridgestone's premium models. The e12 Contact is best aimed at beginners and high-handicappers mainly because of its technology and compression rating (46). However, any golfer wanting to keep the ball in play should consider these golf balls.

Distance and soft aren't typically found together when describing golf balls, but they are with Bridgestone's Lady Precept golf balls. Being a 50 compression golf ball is what makes this golf ball one of the best for ladies - you don't need a quick swing speed to benefit from playing the Lady Precept. Helping to maximize distance is the 330 dimple seamless cover technology which helps to get the ball airborne and traveling farther.

The Lady Precept may not be the best golf ball around the greens, but it still performs admirably and will suffice for the majority of golfers who are playing this ball mainly for its long game performance. As Bridgestone's only female-specific golf ball offering it's a solid choice because of the range of female golfers who can benefit from choosing this ball.

As you probably expect from the name of these golf balls, they are designed purely for distance, making them Bridgestone's best distance golf balls. Due to the level of technology in these golf balls to make them perform exceptionally well off the tee, short game spin and control isn't as high as other golf balls Bridgestone offer. Positives of this ball are that it travels very high and produces a consistent ball flight.

Not many club golfers will need to play with a long drive golf ball, but not many golfers need a lot of things in their bags. Playing with these balls is incredibly fun and makes driving very enjoyable. Designed with the input of World Long Drive contestants and in conjunction with the World Long Drive Association don't be surprised if you start being the longest off the tee in your four-ball when you start gaming these.

Best Bridgestone golf balls: FAQs

What is the Bridgestone equivalent to a Titleist Pro V1?

The closest golf ball to the Titleist Pro V1 in Bridgestone’s range is probably the Tour B XS. While it doesn’t perform exactly the same as Titleist’s premium golf ball, it would take an incredibly skilled golfer to notice a considerable difference. However, it wouldn’t take much to notice the price difference.

What is the difference between Bridgestone X and XS?

Bridgestone’s Tour B X and Tour B RX differ from the Tour B XS and Tour B RXS mainly with stopping power. The Tour B XS and Tour B RXS are higher spinning, making them better for approaching greens. Although, it makes them not as long off the tee as the Tour B X and Tour B RX.

Which Bridgestone ball does Tiger Woods use?

Tiger Woods plays with the Bridgestone Tour B XS golf balls which he helped in producing. He also had a major input on the technology found in the Tour B range of golf balls.
