What we say...
Chris Ryan, PGA professional: “Titleist has been at the top of the ball market for years. The Pro V1 can’t really be faulted, considering how many pros earn their living from using it. While it feels soft and spins well, this test suggests it has some stern rivals in the modern game.”
2009, Updated Model – Review
Favoured by many Tour players, our testers also loved the Pro V1. Malcolm got good results with driver and wedge and noted the high spin rate. Mark found the ball a little on the “light” side and although he felt he may lose some distance, he’d happily trade that for the added control around the greens.
The new Pro V1 provides the exceptional distance and durability golfers have counted on, and now also delivers increased spin control and a more consistent flight. This advanced performance results from a new innovative ZG process core technology, responsive ionomeric casing layer, Urethane Elastomer cover and spherically tiled 352 tetrahedral dimple design.
With 3 axes of symmetry, our new aerodynamics deliver a penetrating ball flight that holds its line in the wind. Player Benefits include providing an exceptional distance, consistent flight, a Drop-And-Stop™ greenside control. The ball is verry soft feel on all shots, has excellent durability and is tour-proven
With multi component technology, such as innovative ZG process core technology, responsive Ionomeric casing layer. Has a high-performance Urethane Elastomer™ cover, spherically tiled 352 tetrahedral dimple design and A.I.M. (Alignment Integrated Marking)™ sidestamp.
One of Titleist's premium balls aimed at the serious golfer.

These spin more than any other in the market. They go pretty far and the feel around and on the greens are by far the best. The feel off the putter face is to die for. Brilliant.

Amazing! you guys pay £30, £35 for your Titliest 12 packs. i pay £10. I dont bother with the expensive ball, its good, but the lake version from direct golf is better. It is refurbished by them, to look like new. So you get a long, high spinning top quality ball for a third of the cost. I can finally play a great ball, without having to worry about the cost everytime i lose it. Unfortunately, my excuse has gone. I can no longer say 'oh, that wasn't me hitting the bad shot, it was my dunlop ball being crap as usual'(no disrespect to dunlop). Guys, trust me on this, goes to these and you might never go back (come on, three 12packs for £30, you can't go wrong).

from the 907d1 and the 907d2 to ap1s and ap2s to v okey design wedges ato scotty cameron putters, and now there balls have claimed a spot into my bag. i use prov1X which are the greatest ball invented from distance off the tee to spin from the sand prov1 and prov1x does it all

This is an excellent, soft ball however for me, there isn't enough difference between performance over the PTS Solo to warrant the higher price. Instead just make the greenkeeper water the greens more!
-
A great feeling, confidence inspiring ball that I am in love (...) with. It feels great of any club and offers great results around the green, off the tee, off the fairway or even out the rough! I am certainly not a low handicapper but I have never really suffered from a slice or hook so I can't say whether it makes them worse but I would recommened them do a good player.

Best spinning ball out there cant beat it.

Simply the best ball available. Been around a while but in my opinion can not be beaten. For the accomplished player this offers unrivalled balnce of distance and control. Consistent yardages achieved off the tee and spin into the greens is just about perfect. Feels nice and soft too which I find a benefit on the greens. Durability is good too. It doesnt cut up with the wedges nearly as much as the callaways. All in all, I dont think this ball really has any competition. :o)

Great ball, probably the best ball i have ever played. Long(ish) distance with superb amounts of spin!
