What we say...
Technology
The four-piece Tour Preferred ball features a new SOFT TECH cover material that provides a softer feel and more control around the greens. TaylorMade say this ball offers complete tee-to-green performance on every shot, helped by progressive velocity stemming from the four layers. Together, they promote maximum distance regardless of clubhead speed.
Tested
As reviewed in our Balls Test 2014: Driver spin was high, but felt really soft around the green with more than enough check. One of the best feeling balls on test. Loads of grab even from mediocre lies.

Sometimes feel that premium balls are much of the same from all the manufacturers, and if you just get on and hit them. But occasionally a ball being tested just seems to feel good when your playing. The TM Tour preferred is very much like that. It looks good (nothing strange in dimples, or colouring) and my big test it feels good off the putter. Good feel from all the clubs is vital for a premium offering and this delivers from all clubs. Not stupidly long, but not short, good feeling from the irons and plenty of spin. You don't get a spongy feel from the putter, like some balls can provide. I'd be happy today these balls all the time.
