What we say...
TaylorMade’s affordable three-piece golf ball with impressive performance and technology
TaylorMade are notorious in the golfing world for manufacturing some of the best golf equipment; including some of the best golf balls. Their Soft Response golf balls are a fine example of their outstanding work.
There are not many premium golf brands offering three-piece golf balls cheaper than £30/$35 per dozen, but the Soft Response golf balls comfortably fall below this price point, making them one of the best value golf balls.
Perhaps the only negative to note about this ball is the ionomer cover (which does help to keep the price down), which may not put everyone off but it’ll potentially deter those who tend to play with the best premium golf balls.
Factoring in price, performance, and technology, TaylorMade’s Soft Response is a solid three-piece golf ball; one of the best golf balls for beginners and high handicap golfers.
Key tech
SpeedMantle layer
The SpeedMantle layer helps to create efficient energy transfer at impact, delivering an enhanced soft feel while maintaining both ball speed and distance.
Extended Flight Dimple Pattern
As a way of reducing drag the Soft Response incorporates a unique extended flight dimple pattern which also optimizes ball flight, allowing the ball to fly farther through the air with lower spin rates.
Low 50 compression design
The low 50 compression design of the Soft Response is achieved through the new low 30 compression core and softer ionomer cover making this TaylorMade’s softest ball in their line-up.
TaylorMade Soft Response availability
TaylorMade Soft Response golf balls are available in white and (for those who prefer a bright golf ball) matte yellow. The balls are numbered slightly differently than standard – 0 to 3.
You can purchase these balls from a number of retailers at an RRP of £24.99/$29.99; an amazing price for a three-piece golf ball aimed at club golfers.
