What we say...
Chris Ryan, PGA professional: “No wonder Tiger wins everything – look at the performance of his ball! Low spin off the driver adds valuable yards, and plenty of spin with a wedge maximises anyone’s chance of scoring around greens. I’d use this ball – it’s very impressive.”
One of Nike's premium balls aimed at the serious golfer.
The Nike One Platinum golf ball is the first ball designed to maximize the potential of larger headed drivers by promoting a higher trajectory and a lower spin rate. It features a Progressive Density Core with a soft centre and a progressively harder outer shell. This provides lower spin off the tee even with its soft outer cover. It is comparable to the Nike One Black, Nike's longest ball on Tour, in that regard. Similar to the Nike One Gold, the One Platinum is comprised of three layers or covers beyond the core. Each cover of the One Platinum has its own job to do: the Inner Cover, closest to the core, is designed to reduce spin off the driver; the Middle Cover provides superior mid-iron control; and the Outer Cover, softer than the Nike One Gold, promotes incredible feel around the green. The Outer Cover also features Nike Golf's proprietary 408 dimple pattern, the same one used on the Nike One Black. This particular dimple promotes a higher trajectory and more penetrating ball flight through the apex of the ball's trajectory. In other words, it descends at a less steep angle promoting more distance and roll. The One Platinum is not designed exclusively for drivers over 400cc; its distance off the tee, wind-boring control from the fairway, and responsiveness around the green will match any combination of clubs. Golfers who have made the move to a larger driver will experience the greater potential of the One Platinum.

no other compares to it simply the best

This ball is an all round great ball in terms of distance, spin and control. It also feels very good off the putter making it easier for me to judge the long putts!

These are the first premium golf balls I've ever considered spending money on and I've dropped 3 off of my handicap in the last 2 months. Other than my golf ball, nothing's changed. Long and straight off the tee and throw it up to the hole with any mid/short iron. I'd probably encourage anyone playing off 18 or less to give it a go.

I prefer soft feel balls and found this to be a great ball distance wise and feel. You can hit any club and spin it to a dead stop when hitting the green and get decent distance of the tee.

Having tried ALL the other premium balls to find my favourite, the Nike Platinum was the last one i tried. I found it really hard and far from the best spinning ball amongst the premium category ( it resembled the far cheaper titleist ptssolo in its feel). I would go as far as the say that it was nowhere near as good as the srixon soft feel, which is half the price. I will use the rest of the dozen that i bought but probably stick with the prov1 or tour hx which really do give great feel.

This ball is amazing. Very high spin with the wedge in hand but also enough spin to stop a 5 iron on the green! UNBELIEVABLE!

Tried this ball for a change and I don't think I'll be using any other ball from now on! If you flush this off the tee it flies long and straight with minimum spin. But, hit this to a green and it backspins like crazy (how do they do that?!) Around the green it feels really soft and digs in nicely on the second bounce, bringing lots of confidence. If I had to be critical, it does scuff quite easily, but then that's the price you pay for feel I guess.
