I have used several different (mid-priced) mostly 2 layer golf balls including favouries such as Srixon AD333 and Titleist NXT and Tour varieties respectively, but with each of these i would always feel like i'm sacrificing a part of my game...the Srixon AD333 generally good off the tee and with long irons, both control and distance wise, but lousy around the green with both wedge and putter, whilst the Titleist NXT (Tour) vice virsa...so after trying an online "find the right ball for you" site...it was suggested i try the Bridgestone e5 and e5+, i ordered some lake balls for a ridiculous (cheap) price and hit my home track with great results, I've always been very confident with my irons in hand, even down to my 4iron but was surprised to see that i seemed to have even more control with no loss of distance...I may even be tempted to bring the Big Dog out of the Garage (where it's been left for a few months as i can't keep it straight for toffee) to see if theres any change with that, obviously issues with my swing also...the big bonus however was on and around the greens, the ball seemed to check and stop quicker making it so much easier to judge the various shots and pitch distances needed to get close, breeding more confidence with the putter also as it flew off the putter face, eventually eradicating those horrid 3 putts...i now feel confident to start shooting those low-mid 80's which only seemed to be a dream to me a while back!!! By far and away the best 2 piece ball out there...
