Precept CBT30 Stand Bag Review

We at Today’s Golfer love the phrase ‘meat and potatoes’ to describe items of solid, unflashy, golf equipment. That perfectly sums up this stand bag from Precept. It delivers on everything  but doesn’t really offer any treats; there are no real gadgety gizmo things hidden away. It’s got plenty of pockets, is manufactured using fabric that’s decent, if a bit on the crispy side, and we’re sure it won’t let you down.

The question is, in a market where bags now have to go that little bit further to tantalise your golfing taste buds, does this Precept actually achieve that? Precept golf equipment owners must say yes!

Features – This has some strong attributes that should help it get at least as far as your shortlist of standbag choices. It’s durable – so the fabric won’t rip on it’s first, or even second, brush with the nearest bramble – and it’s very light, second in this important category behind the Izzo Spirit.

Storage – It does what it needs to do. There is room for clothing, room for balls, room for everything you’d expect. However, there are no real luxurious areas pf storage space which you could utilise. It’s a basic design that will have a quiet appeal for some but is unlikely to excite many golfers.

Value – This is the biggest thing the Precept bag has going for it. At £60 it will have every value-hunting golfer lining up at least to take a look. To put it in perspective, you could buy a couple of these bags, plus a dozen premium balls, for the rpice of the Ping Hoofer 3.
