Pros
This bag’s biggest feature is its weight, or lack of it! Ultra-light bags normally have little in the way of storage space, but the Spirit bucks the trend.

Cons
May not repel the worst winter rainstorms.
What we say...
Enter the brand you have voted you favourite in our golf equipment awards for the past two years. Enter, also, one of their newest bags, the mega-lightweight Spirit that crunched our test scales round to a smidgen over 3.5lb!
The product, in my opinion, is what stand bags are all about. It has enough pocket space to hold what you need, it weighs less than two bags of sugar and it works like a dream.
If I were a betting man, I’d wager this bag will run the rest hard in our next golf awards. The fabric is a bit flimsy – which is why it’s so light – but there can’t be many bags so effortless to carry for four hours.
This bag’s biggest feature is its weight, or lack of it! Ultra-light bags normally have little in the way of storage space, but the Spirit bucks the trend. The fabric won’t appeal to everyone but you still get four pockets, plus an insulated bottle holder and that’s impressive.
The largest pocket, for clothing, is no smaller than any other in our test. It will gobble up a waterproof suit with ease. The side pocket will take gloves, scorecard-holders, etc, and the ball pocket will accommodate more than enough ammo for golf’s worst hackers.
We reckon this is a bit of a bargain. This bag could quite easily be £20 more and probably get away with it because it’s made by Izzo, but £89 is very reasonable. I don’t think it will repel worst winter rainstorms, but who wants to play in the rain anyway?
You’ll struggle to find a lighter stand bag anywhere. The fabric is a bit flimsy, but this bags a top performance.
