What we say...
2011 Test – Gold Award Winner
Our team were really taken with the looks of the Cleveland bag so right from the start it was a firm favourite. Thankfully for the Cleveland, it lived up to its looks and performed extremely well on the course for all of our testers. In fact, both Stuart and Richard said it was their favourite bag on test and if they were to part with their own hard-earned money this would definitely be the one they would buy.
The main reason for the high praise was down to the comfort of the straps and how light the bag felt on the shoulders – even when laden with waterproofs, hats and all the other trappings of winter golf. It wasn’t overly complicated either, with Rich liking the ease of the five-way top cuff divider and Ross commenting that it seemed to have the right number of pockets in all the key places. In particular the large valuables pocket and individual pockets within pockets for smaller items were noted by our testers.
Our team also felt the stand was very responsive and would pop out and retract with theminimum of fuss. In short, our four-man team said the bag was low on effort but big on results, leaving them to concentrate solely on their golf on the course.
Obviously as our test winner our team liked this offering but there is no such thing as the perfect stand bag – not yet anyway. David felt the Cleveland was short of a pocket or two if he were to use it on a regular basis and also commented on the rainhood, which he said was a bit flimsy and came in black, which ruined the look of the bag. The lack of a cooler pocket was also a little bit of a disappointment in what was otherwise a terrific showing.

2009 Review
A huge apparel pocket which is brilliant for carting jumpers and waterproofs about. The red and white colour scheme and Cleveland branding are pretty cool too – clean and crisp.
The Cleveland Tour stand bag features a five-way top to separate your clubs and also has five-pockets, including a full-length waterpoof compartment and a velour-lined pocket for valuables. The base is designed for extra stability on uneven ground while the bag itself is solid and sturdy. It weighs in at 5lb and also features a water bottle pocket and handy pen-holder to save you fishing around in jacket or trouser pockets all the time.
