What we say...
Tested: December 2010

The Callaway uPro was the smallest device on test (other than the watch) and the size really impressed our testers. This was Peter’s preferred GPS device because of the size – he said he preferred to store it in his pocket – and the fact it wasn’t a touch screen so could be operated with one hand.
When used in pro mode our team liked the graphic functionality with yardages to all hazards and key targets and the hole flyover was impressive – although Terry said he often found the screen hard to make out.
In basic mode it is just a numerical system, which our team found fiddly. Paying for pro mode is an absolute must – but be sure to check course availability before buying.
RATINGS (out of five):
Ease of use: 3.3
Functions: 4.0
Styling: 3.8
Value: 3.5
Overall: 3.5 stars
This is one of the smallest GPS devices around but still manages to pack an impressive punch. In Pro mode the screen displays high resolution aerial imagery of the course while you can calculate the distance to any point on the hole with the toggle function. Each hole begins with a handy flyover so you get to see any potential problem areas, even if they are hidden from view. In the free basic mode it is simply a numeric system so it is worth paying for Pro mode.
