What we say...

Another Bushnell device, which reflects their standing in the market. The V2 also delivers good performance, including the standard point and click system. For less than £250 this really is a good unit. Steve said it felt nice in the hand, and Richard said the button was responsive. But what let it down slightly was the V2 grey display, which makes it harder to see the numbers than on the other Bushnell models, which are red.

Steve also felt it was quite light, and in windy conditions he found it harder to keep it steady, especially when he was focusing on something as small as a flag. If you want a rangefinder, but don’t want to spend £400, this is a sound choice.

Ratings (out of 5)

Ease of use: 3.6
Styling: 3.8
Value: 4.1

Bushnell’s lighter and more compact device still retains many of the features of the Pro 1600, including pinseeker, scan and rain modes but it comes in at about half the weight to leave you less loaded down. It is rainproof rather than being fully waterproof and features five-times magnification. Like the Pro 1600 there is also a separate device available with slope mode if you are not planning on using it in competition. Like most premium rangefinders it comes with a handy carry case that clips on to your bag.
