Holyhead Golf Club

What we say
At a glance, Holyhead Golf Club’s golf course looks relatively tame and straightforward enough, being just over 6,000 yards off the back tees. But the fairways are narrow and undulating and the rough comprises gorse, heather and bracken to give players of all standards a stern challenge. The greens have a reputation for being the best in north Wales.
Holyhead Golf Club opened in 1912 and was created by the prolific James Braid. Each hole offers a different challenge from the short 2nd - regularly described as a hole worthy of any true championship golf course - through to the elevated 10th which spectacularly offers a 360-degree panoramic view over Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula.
Accommodation: The on-site Dormy House sleeps up to 14 and local B& Bs include Moranedd and Trearddur Bay.
