Old Padeswood Golf Club

What we say
Old Padeswood Golf Club is situated in the beautiful Alyn Valley with panoramic views of the local hills. Moel Fammau, with its tower built to commemorate Queen Victoria's golden Jubilee, provides the backdrop to a number of the holes.
Nine of the holes are over relatively flat land and the balance of the topography is more undulating at the final hole which is a signature hole and a par 3 of over 180 yards being played over a deep valley. It is all carry to the green and if you don't take enough club leaves a very difficult recovery shot.
Players of all levels will be challenged without the more inexperienced being too intimidated.

My brother in law and I are currently on a bit of a mini tour around the North East Wales golf clubs. We played OPGC yesterday (24/07/15) for the first time and had a blast. The first four or so holes are undulating then the course flattens out, but with some well placed bunkers, before finishing with some more lumps on the last couple of holes. The course was in good condition with well thought out hazards (but not unfair for the average golfer). I really enjoyed the 17th. We both said that we would be back. I can't comment on the facilities as we did not use them. I would recommend this course.
