Murrayshall House & Golf Course

What we say

Home of two contrasting 18-hole courses (Murrayshall & Lynedoch) plotted within 350 plus acres of prestine Perthshire countryside. The gently undulating former is the longer and better of the layouts and you need to turn up with your A game to score well. Designed by Hamilton J Stutt, the grandson of the great James Braid’s chief foreman. Most fairways are tree-lined so pinpoint accuracy is the key to a good score.

Measuring 6441 yards, the championship course lies on 350 acres of rolling parkland. The course was designed by Hamilton J. Stutt, the grandson of the great James Braid's chief foreman.

With tree lined fairways, accuracy is key to a good score on this par 73 course. Large white sand bunkers protect expansive but tricky greens. Natural stone bridges span water hazards which will test the accuracy of your iron play.

Home to the PGA under 25 Championship and the Scottish Team Championship, the Murrayshall Course has a high profile and a matching reputation.

Wow well done to Murrayshall and the Greenstaff. The transformation since the last time I played some years ago is amazing, to get on the top 100 list is great it should be top10.

  • 4 out of 5 Idyllic settings

I played Murrayshall in April & October of this year, and on both occasions, the course was in magnificent condition. The course is set in beautiful, mountainess surroundings with spectacular views across Perthshire available on many of the holes. From tee to green, the course is very well looked after and offers a great challenge to any level of golfer. You really need to think about every shot as danger lurks all around. From the 167 Yard Par 3, 4th Hole protected by water, to the 520 Yard Par 5, 17th Hole with ditches and trees, every shot is tricky. I would recommend the hire of a buggy, as the course is quite hilly. The 2 courses surround a 4 star hotel with excellent dining and hospitality at reasonable prices, as well as the fantastic views of the countryside. There are great deals on all year round and at £99 for 4, it really is worth a look.

Both courses are very good you have to be straight off the tee and get a stroke saver as there are some surprises over the blind hills
