The Kames Country Club – Kames Course
Last updated:
What we say
The shorter 18 hole Kames Course was added in 1999/2000. It is an interesting and demanding small course with small contoured greens demanding accurate mid to short iron play. The Kames Course was then made into another 18 hole course which was opened in 2006. The Kames Course is only 3500 yards long but don't be fooled into thinking it will be easy as missing the fairway or green could result in loosing your ball as all fairway's are tight.
There is a run of holes from the 10th that would make you think you are playing the renound Gleneagles course as you are surrounded by a mature tree line, and again miss the green or fairway and you might be coming out sideways, accuracy on this stretch of the course is paramount.

I'm slightly confused with the comments from Sphinx as the date he said he played the course we were closed due to snow.

Very poor course, the tees and greens are appalling, especially the greens, bunkers are negligible as all the sand has been washed out them, there is nothing to recommend this course i'm afraid.please keep your money and visit another course, very very disapointing day out.
