Kinross Bruce Course

What we say
There are two 18-hole golf courses – The Montgomery and The Bruce. Both golf courses are deemed by many to be among Scotland’s hidden gems. The golf courses have been renamed after the two families that have owned the estate around Loch Leven for most of the last three centuries.
The Bruce remains a thoroughly enjoyable test of golf. Undulating greens, streams, ponds and enticing tree-lined fairways provide a challenging activity to both low and high handicap golfers alike. There are not many golf courses where the outward nine holes is Par 39 including a sequence of no less than four Par 5s in six holes – punctuated by the infamous pond hole – the 6th. Many of the fairways are bounded by trees and plantations, a mixture of mature cherries, oaks, beech, ash, pine, larch and spruce offering fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.
Visiting golfers, clubs and societies are very welcome and tee times can be reserved at weekends as well as weekdays. Special discounted green fees are available for the Green Hotel and The Windlestrae residents.
