What we say
Situated in the foothills of the Scottish Highlands, near Loch Lomond, Buchanan Castle Golf Club is a scenic golf course designed by James Braid in 1936. When in top condition this pretty parkland course, which sits at the top of a hill, is open to the occasionally strong westerly winds, offering players of all abilities a fair challenge.
Despite never being in play, the River Endrick, which runs alongside holes 6, 7, 9 and 16, adds to the beautiful natural surroundings. This Drymen course is fairly flat and relatively straightforward, making it accessible to all levels of golfers, while a strong iron player will enjoy playing off the well-kept fairways.
In a scenic setting, Buchanan Castle Golf Club is parkland course offering excellent golf in the foothills of the Scottish Highlands and close to Loch Lomond.
Desigend by James Braid, it offers all levels of golfer a challenge. With many of the holes favouring doglegs, the course requires imagination to get round in a good score.
