Played this and the course was in very good nick, fairways and greens well maintained. It has some good short holes around the hotel but when you get away from the hotel there are some testing long par 4 and 5's. A pleasure to play here.

A very good course with a variety of holes. Overhanging trees make driving tight on a number of holes, with ditches and water hazards giving food for thought on most holes. The course winds its way around the hotel, with some pleasant views.

The course has been well developed over the last year and plays well no matter what time of year. Greens staff work hard to protect the greens and fringes from trolleys and buggies and have repaired bunkers and added masses of sand recently to make this a much more pleasing course, both on the eye and the golf game, though that is not to say it's an easy course. There's also a practice bunker been added to the practice area, hopefully this part of the club will be further developed in time. Highlights are the 12th with it's intimidating drive over a seemingly endless water hazard and the blind drive on the 9th into a well defended green. If you're nearby and looking for a challenge or further afield and after a golf break I would recommend this place. Members on the whole are very friendly and welcoming. Due to the hotel that the club is a part of this course gets a lot weekend break groups and it's set up towards this sort of thing in my opinion. Don't let that put you off however.

have been going past this course for years but never played.Took advantage of the 2-4-1 vouchers and loved it. tee box great, greens great, fairways great esp the distance markers on every hole (nice touch). club house and shop all good and welcoming, the only thing i thought let it down was the odd driving range.other than that great , will def be playing again

The Manor of Groves is a course full of potential with receptive smooth greens and good fairways, but it is let down on occasions by the finer details, many tees in the process of being redesigned which will hopefully improve this weakness, whilst the bunkers could all do with much more sand. In all this is a good and challenging if you dont hit it straight you'll be punished, and lets hope your drivers working as there are a few lengthy par 4s plus two of the par 5s are 600 yards. Clubhouse facilities are good and staff are top class
