Aldwickbury Park Golf Club

It’s a beautiful parkland setting with great views. Long holes have generous fairways, and yardage indicators and bunkers are good. Excellent practice facilities (including a nine-hole, par-3 course) and clubhouse. The star hole is the 308-yard, par-4 2nd. It calls for accuracy from the tee (distance and direction) and you’re then rewarded with a great looking shot to an elevated green.

The golf club offers a challenging 18 hole main golf course, a delightful 9 hole golf course, practice facilities, a well stocked pro shop and a light and spacious clubhouse where a variety of refreshments, snacks and meals are available.

  Definately a course to go back to.  The staff and members could not be more friendly.  The whole course was in excellent condition; even after recent coring of the greens.  Excellent breakfast and lunch in the club house and good value for money. The only little niggle, which happens on many courses, the greenstaff sometimes forget that you are actually trying to play to your best ability and they don't think that a mower going full belt within 15 yards of you is anyway off putting to the shot you are hoping to play.  I know it has to be done and they are under pressure but........  He did get the message in the end.  Bless!! 40ft putt for birdy on the last was the perfect end to a really enjoyable round.

  Played here yesterday with a couple of mates for a change of scenery. The initial thoughts were of it being very pleasant and quite open, even in the rain. We all start hitting lovely tee shots from well looked after tee blocks. As we got around the course one thing became ever apparent, the greens were the guardians of the holes.... Some of the greens need you to hit a high soft shot for them to stick, and even when you did you could a tough putt. Overall a very good test of golf, looking forward to going back when the sun shines!!

  Since the club was bought by Burhill Golf and Leisure significant improvements have been made to both the facilities and particuarly the course itself. Bunkers have been reworked, the greens are in excellent condition and stand good comparrison to any of the local so called championship courses. Practice facilities are somewhat limited if you want to warm up with your driver before the round but all in all this club is on the up and a fair but challenging course awaits.

  Played here several time last summer, mainly due to ease of getting a Sunday tee time but I've played on better @ £35 - its sister club Redbourne for instance. The main imprint on my mind is the long uphill slog on the back nine to finish on a straight par4 18th that has a nice long stretch of water down the right to catch any whiff of a slice.
