Weston Turville Golf Club

What we say
A challenging parkland, particularly off the tee as you’re asked to find some narrow fairways. Your approach play needs to be accurate too as you’re hitting into small, firm greens. So crisp irons off the tee and from the fairway are the order of the day here.
First opened in 1973, Weston Turville Golf Club, located at the base of the Chiltern Hills, offers an 18 hole parkland course, set on gently undulating terrain. The course makes use of numerous water hazards, as well as mature trees and bunkers. This course can be a challenge for more advanced golfers, with narrow fairways, but not too intimidiating for the beginner.

Throughly enjoyed this golf course, I would've given it 5 stars but the restaurant wasn't open in the morning for a pre-round breakfast. And the facilities are a little tired. But the course itself was excellent, not the longest course you'll play but it varies through the round with some fairways that accuracy is needed and good hazards. The 5th hole for example. Out of bounds and thick rough down the left, go too far right and you have a tricky second shot that brings a lake into play!! Excellent golf club and one of the friendliest courses I've ever played. Will be booking up again soon.

Although short, measuring just 5779 yards off the yellows, weston turville is a good test of golf. Winter mats were in use but it wont be long for the summer tees to come into play. Weston has some tricky par 4's notably the 15th, stroke index1, with a 90 degree dog leg left with a green protected by a large pond. The 5 par 3's, ranging from the 4th 117 yards, to the 10th 189 yards, are all protected by bunkers, streams and a couple of ponds. You will not find more friendly staff anywhere than at Weston. The breakfast was first class and the beer was good too, in the spacious clubhouse after the round. You can play Weston in the week for £12.50 with a voucher, but if you want to play at the weekends, the staff will do their utmost to get you a tee time. I for one will be returning in the near future.
