Stoke Park Golf Club

What we say
As soon as you drive through the gates, you know you’re in for something special. The imposing clubhouse – which starred in James Bond’s Goldfinger – overlooks three lots of nine (we played the Colt and the Alison), all of which are immaculately kept.
It’s a classy experience, from the manicured fairways and greens to the fantastic changing rooms. Be sure to check out the Goldfinger memorabilia in the clubhouse. There’s a host of star hole contenders but the par-3 7th on the Colt just about shades it. Word of warning: Though the winter green fee is an absolute bargain, you’ll need deep pockets if you spend much time in the clubhouse (our bacon bap and coffee cost almost £8).
Parkland layout with 27 holes set around the iconic clubhouse. It has the look and feel of a top class venue, but it does come at a price.

Sheer unadulturated class. That's exclusive Stoke Park - on and off the golf course. It's literally the home of the stars: as a film location, Stoke Park has played host to the most memorable game of golf in cinema history, when James Bond defeated Goldfinger on the 18th green in Goldfinger (1964). Goldfinger was the first of two Bond films to be shot at Stoke Park, the second being Tomorrow Never Dies (1997).
The golf course was designed by Harry Shapland Colt in 1908 and offers 27 holes of spectacular parkland golf, the three nine hole loops being Colt (1-9), Alison (10-18) and Lane Jackson (19-27).
Style is the name of the game off-course too as Stoke Park boasts arguably one of the finest, most impressive clubhouses you'll find anywhere in the world.
Stay & Play: There's 49 luxury rooms on site as well as a sumptuous Spa.

Stoke Park is a cracking venue and track! First impressions are everything and seeing the impressive Clubhouse is overwhelming. The course had some cracking little par 3's and the signature hole is the 7th, (12th at Augusta was modelled on it) it's a must hit green par 3. Throughout the course the bunkers are positioned very well to catch you out. The greens are very true and fast. You can't help but be amazed at the place!
