Abbey Hill Golf Centre – Par 3 Course

What we say
It’s a pleasant parkland track that has come on in leaps and bounds. The last time I paid it a visit, the course looked a bit weary to say the least. Now the greenkeeping staff are doing a fine job, because the course is in terrific shape and the greens are a joy to putt on. The star hole is the stroke index-one par-4 11th. You need two solid strikes to find the green perched on top of a hill. There’s trouble on both sides of the fairway, which is traversed by a dry burn.
Situated just off the A5 on the outskirts of Milton Keynes, Abbey Hill provides fine golf with catering facilities and a friendly welcome to match.
Besides the 18 hole main golf course, this excellent all-round venue offers an Academy Par 3 Golf Course, driving range, recently refurbished clubhouse, and bright modern function room.
Stay & Play: The Welcome Lodge is by the 11th tee while also nearby is the Quality Inn Hotel.

This course starts of easy and then gets more difficult just watch when going too the 10th hole as you have to cross the bridge and walk past the pro shop. The greens and fairway are well kept with very intresting golf you have to use all your clubs

This course has greatly improved over the last 5 years. Situated just off the A5 on the outskirts of Milton Keynes, Abbey Hill Golf Centre is easily accessible and provides great quality golf and catering facilities with friendly welcoming service. With a choice of the 18 hole Main Course and the Academy Par 3 Course, superb driving range, and a recently refurbished clubhouse. The course is playing very well this year, looking very green thanks to the wet summer, the fairways and greens are excellent. The only fault I can find on this course is with the bunkers. Not enough sand in some of them, and when it rains heavily the fill with water. Worth a visit.

A surprisingly hilly course amongst the flatlands of Milton Keynes. The opening 10 holes are the more varied with a footbridge giving access to the clubhouse and remaining holes. The course difficulty and length is geared more towards mid/high handicapers with decent width fairways and fairly straightforward approaches and greens. The 9-hole par 3 is excellent for honing the short game. My only gripe is due to the layout of the course there is no 9-hole option which is annoying when you have limited time for a round. You need to pay for 18 and play up to the 10th.
