What we say
This Harry Colt design offers a gentle walk and a fair test, the holes weaving round Calcot Park Mansion. There’s a ‘get-away-from-it-all’ feeling, along with a fine variety of holes – the par 3s are especially good. Finally, this is where Seve Ballesteros made his first UK appearance in a Pro-Am!
Designed by Harry Colt in 1930. Calcot Park is an undulating, traditional, parkland course. It is acknowledged as being demanding, yet a fair test of golf. There are two par fives, both reachable in two by strong hitters and four excellent par 3s, including the signature hole, played across a lake to an elevated green.
