What we say
Just down the road (M4) from Windsor Castle, Bearwood Lakes is a golf course fit for royalty. It really is a parkland classic, memorably weaving its way over gently rolling former ancient royal hunting grounds. It’s always in tip-top condition too – even in winter!
Growing in reputation, this modern parkland layout has it all including water features, tree-lined holes, elevation changes, good practice facilities and a nice clubhouse.

I have been privileged to play Bearwood Lakes twice and it is easily one of the best courses in the country. Some very tough par 4s and beautiful par 3s this is a fair test of golf but not easy to score. The greens are simply superb. This is a beautifully understated course with relaxed atmosphere with an air of sheer quality. Hope I am lucky enough to play there again.

I may be biased because I am a member of Bearwood Lakes, but I think it is a magnificent course and one of the best in the region. Before joioning, I played a number of other courses but chose to join here. The course is very mature for its age, with a route winding through mature forest, featuring elevation and direction changes. The course is invariably in excellent condition, particularly the greens. There are a number of standout holes, and my personal favourites are the par-5 11th up a hill to a tricky green, the 13th, a par-4 across a lake then a ditch to a nice green framed by the lake again. The par-3 14th tends to get most of the comment, a tough shot across the edge of the lake to a green which gets further away on the right. The club also has a practice putting green, a chipping green with bunkers and a full driving range. The restaurant and halfway hut are pretty good too. Whenever I bring friends and guests here, they generally ask about another game before we leave.

Open in places but quiet tricky in others only a few real standout holes but overall conditon is superb.
