Taunton Vale Golf Club – Durston Course

Taunton Vale Golf Club is probably the most accessible club in Somerset. It is situated little more than a five-minute drive from either junctions 24 or 25 of the M5.

The Vale provides all the facilities expected of the modern golf club, including a practice chipping area, putting green and a 14-bay driving range.

The club comprises of 27 holes of parkland, set amid 156 acres of gently rolling countryside.

Our clubhouse boasts two bars and an attractive dining room where a delicious menu is served daily.

Visitors welcome and fantastic society deals available.

  This course has improved over the last couple of years, when I first went there 4 yrs ago the course wasn't very well looked after but on returning you could see the improvements, last yr they redesigned 2 or 3 holes and what an improvement (12th is a good testing hole now). The welcome in the club house is one of the best around. Now the down side, do not play this in the winter rubber mats and temp greens in force from Oct onwards until Feb/Mar .

  the course is disappointing as the drainage is non existent and the practice facilities are very poor. The couse layout is good and the staff are friendly but the upkeep of the course and facilities leave alot to be desired. The practice "green" is not cut at all and does not help with judging your chip shots etc. All of the bunkers need more sand and a better quality of sand,fewer stones! overall the pro and staff are let down by the very poor standard of course maintenance
