Provides spectacular clifftop golf and scenery alike. Holes 11-13 are particularly memorable and include a par-3 to a green enclosed by a walled garden – site of an old tin mine.

Situated on the very edge of the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Cornwall Golf and Country Club is the first and last 18-hole golf course in Britain!

Designed in 1990 by Bob Hamilton, who has also helped design golf courses in Scotland and Singapore, it is a truly natural golf course, and very well drained to the extent that there is never a need for winter greens. The golf course is a challenge for the club golfer and low handicap golfer alike. Hazards includes lies on existing undulating land, dry stone walls — some of which cross fairways — and bunkers.

  The course is in lovely condition, the wind is truly a factor as it makes a true test of golf, with superb views. A couple of minor points let the experience down and that was no course layout on the score card and the buggies can't cope very well with the hilly terrain.

  I have been in Cornwall working and thought I would play Cape Cornwall, the course is advertised as the first and last course in England. It really is!!!! The views are amazing from a large number of the holes. I was amazed to find a course that was so dry and was delighted to find their are no temporary greens and the course was very dry considering all the recent weather. I stayed on site at their accommodation which was also very nice. A great place to visit with views to impress all.

  I paid no less than £25 to play 18 holes of this baron and tedious golf course, and I can safely say that not since the manager of the Société Générale Bank in Paris received a bullet through his left eye socket in trade for the contents of the safe has such an unbelievably imbalanced exchange of service for payment taken place. A collection of fields cut short. No sign of creativity or style is present on any area of the course, although maybe a hint of humor on one fairway we encountered that was not less than 60 degrees in slope, leaving your ball to unavoidably trickle down into the thick rough. Slow greens, terribly boring holes and, in the words of my playing partner for the day, "You would do better to take £50 and set fire to it". A price of £10 and I would have walked away happy with my day, but the management of this course are charging just under the price I paid to play at Brest Irios a few days prior (one of the best 20 courses in Europe)and delivering a course to the standard of a stretched out pitch and putt. Absolutely avoid this golf course. There are many golf courses better than this in Cornwall, at a much better price.
