Long Ashton Golf Club

Arguably Bristol’s finest. Long Ashton may be just a few miles from the bustling city centre but it feels like a world away. This excellent parkland track impressively meanders along the back of a limestone ridge while providing fine views of the cityand surrounding hills.

Established in 1893, and located just a few minutes from the centre of Bristol, Long Ashton Golf Club offers an 18 hole parkland course. The course that stands today was designed by Hawtrey and Taylor in 1937. The course features fairways lined with mature trees, along with a large lake and some strategically-placed bunkers.

  I have been a member at Long Ashton for 12 years and after playing most/all of the courses in the Bristol area, there is not a club that I would rather be a member of! The recent rebuild of the greens means that we play on proper greens whatever the rainfall and not many members clubs in the area can say that! The greens have not been off for waterlogging since they were reopened in mid April 2014 despite the 3rd wettest year since 2000. Long Ashton is well known for being a friendly club with a very good 19th hole. The recent additions of the floodlit covered driving range and a large chipping area make the practice facilities some of the best in the region.
