What we say
Silvermere is one of the most accessible golf centres in the South East of England. It is set in some of Surrey’s finest countryside between Cobham and Byfleet and is just three minutes from the M25 /A3 intersection. The par 71 golf course is set among both woodland and parkland and several holes include water features - the final two holes are played around and over a lake.
Silvermere is one of the best maintained and most challenging public golf courses in the south and welcomes visitors seven days a week. It also offers excellent instruction facilities which include a floodlit driving range.
Meanwhile, the man behind the stunning new £2m driving range and coaching facility at Silvermere Golf Complex, in Cobham, has invested heavily in Foresight Sports technology, installing the industry-leading launch monitor technology in all of his dedicated fitting and coaching bays, along with further systems for use within the range itself.
The four state-of-the-art bays at the Surrey venue each contains a Foresight Sports Game Changer 2 (GC2) with Head Measurement Technology (HMT), providing the ultimate accuracy of ball and club data, essential for the highest standards of club-fitting and coaching.
What's more, each of the bays has been engineered by the Foresight Sports team to function also as a full-immersion indoor golf simulator, meaning customers can play, compete, or practise on a host of top courses from across the globe in their own private rooms, whatever the weather, all year round.
The outstanding 52-bay, two-tier range, was opened recently by HRH Prince Andrew, and featured demo days and appearances from Thomas Bjorn, Francesco Molinari and Victor Dubuisson.
The Foresight Sports GC2/HMT systems were in use throughout the launch days, and continually since, and Terry Sims, a director of the venue - which features the busiest retail outlet on any golf complex in Europe - eulogised about the technology at the heart of his highly rated new facility.
He said: "Since the range has opened the Foresight units are in action almost constantly and I don't think they have missed a single shot. The technology performs perfectly at all times and the GC2/HMT combination is an incredible tool for both coaching and fitting. I can't recommend it highly enough.
"The new driving range was a substantial investment for us and we wanted to invest in the very best in terms of technology. In a state-of-the-art complex you simply have to have the latest and greatest fitting and analysis systems. And that's why we went for Foresight Sports' GC2 and HMT, as they directly measure ball and club-head data, something that our professionals and customers understand and appreciate quickly and easily.
"We're hugely confident that Silvermere is now one of the best and most innovative game-improvement and fitting centres in the country. We have the ability to provide the ultimate custom-fit because we record every piece of data available - leaving no stone unturned."
So confident is Silvermere that it can improve a golfer's game with a correct fitting, using the Foresight technology, that it is offering a money-back guarantee on the fitting cost of £40 if it fails to add 20 yards to a golfer's existing driver length. What's more, there is a 50 per cent refund on the fitting fee if there is a subsequent order.
Ed Doling, Foresight Sports Europe's sales director, added: "We have worked closely with Terry and his team at Silvermere as they produced, in just 17 weeks, one of the best range facilities in the UK. We share his confidence that, in using Foresight Sports technology, he will be able to offer an unrivalled service to his customers and establish Silvermere as the ‘go-to' golf complex in Surrey."
Foresight Sports' Game Changer 2 - which directly measures ball-flight data at launch using ultra-high-speed cameras - and HMT is the most in-demand technology in golf, having revolutionised club fitting and analysis since its launch in 2010. It was swiftly approved and recommended by many of the world's leading club manufacturers including Titleist, Cleveland/Srixon, Cobra/Puma, PING and TaylorMade.
It's also used by many of the world's top professional golfers - including the world's numbers one and two, Adam Scott and Rory McIlroy respectively, Graeme McDowell, Ian Poulter, Phil Mickelson, Ryo Ishikawa, and the latest LET sensation Charley Hull - and dozens of other leading brands within the golf industry.

I have to agree with the previous reviews, you have to hit your drives straight, fairways are lush and the ball sits up beautifully to hit irons and fairway woods onto superb greens that will hold the ball all year round. There was some work being carried out to the drainage on the course but this in no way interfered with our round.Course really comes into it's own in the summer when the flowers are in full colour. Pro-Shop is well stocked, and the pub on the course is superb for viewing people playing the 17th &18th,just when you think you are putting a good score together you have to negotiate these 2 holes,18th has an impossibly narrow fairway that you have to hit to have any chance of going for the green. Great finishing holes that make this course enjoyable every visit.

Make no bones about ut - this is a right little tester. If you wayward of the tee take plenty of balls. The good news - excellent fairways and greens and super facilities all round.

A very windy day. The First six holes are through woodland which means you need to hit the fairways. Holes 7 to 16 are a little more open. And the last two holes feature more woodland and a lake, hole 17 you need to hit the green as there is no fairway just water. Hole 18 has a very sharp dog leg right over the lake. All in all a great course and a real test of nerves on the final two holes.
