Despite huge building works being carried out next to the club house (a huge Marriot hotel), dust and earth works machines. Its been at least four years since my last excursion to leafy Lingfield, not the fondest of memories but over time and several favorable comments we gave it a shot. Walking into the club house on a Tuesday (old boys) morning a scene from a western...complete silence! Despite the initial rception we had our customary full english breakfast, marginally worse than the frosty reception overpriced and over cooked...awful! As for the course £25, tees were scabby, greens being treated ( expected at this time of year) but still not told at the pro shop. Overal the course looked in need of care, it was a dinosaur and if courses like these are to encourage new members and day members a smile and a welcome is a must.

Was not expecting much out of this course seeming it's parked in between the race course but was extremely suprised. Really interesting course and a good test of golf. On a 2-4-1 voucher this is great value for money
