Hindhead Golf Club

What we say
One of the finest layouts in an area littered with golfing gems. Hindhead is a stunning example of a course weaving its way through natural terrain. The front nine largely meanders through tight valleys while the inward half is more elevated. The course is also always in tip-top condition.
Hindhead is a heathland classic. It is also an open qualifying golf course, set over two valleys, and is in superb condition all year round.
The golf club was founded in 1904 by a group of enthusiasts that included Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle, the first President. Also, in 1904 James Braid and J. H. Taylor played a challenge match over 36 holes, the former winning 3& 2.
Hindhead's front nine majestically meanders through valleys formed by the Ice Age before finally emerging to the hillside plateau of the back nine.
